Wet Flu For Hotwater

$950.00

Wet Flu Basics

With a wet Flu it is the heat exchange that will take the flu heat and convert cold water to hot water. The water enters the lower point of the flu and heated in the wet flu (heat exchange) as it heats water is boiled and sent to a hot water tank place typically in a roof above the wood heater. Our Stoves do not have water jackets placed in the fire box. As they are built for high efficiency water Jackets that are placed direct on the firebox can effect the stove performance and output. The wet Flu is the best Option for long term use as it is not on direct flame it is shielded with an inner flue. It has 18m of Stainless or copper 12mm tube that will heat your hot water without the use of any electricity.

This is great for the farm house or the Off Gridder

What is a Thermosiphon?

A thermosiphon is a passively driven thermal management device that utilizes the motive forces of natural convection and conduction. The device uses these forces to create a cyclic fluid flow from areas of high heat to low heat and back. You’ll see the term thermosiphon used in various industries such as solar energy collection, automotive systems, and electronics.

Like standard siphons, thermosiphons don’t require mechanical or electrical pumps to move fluid through an open or closed-loop system. Electronics cooling only uses closed-loop systems, since a thermosiphon’s is typically water, refrigerant, or gas under sub-atmospheric pressure.
